The 2008 Festival of Community Theatre National Final will be held on 27 & 28 June 2008 at Hutt Little Theatre, Lower Hutt (corner of Queens Drive and Woburn Road, Lower Hutt).

The programme is as follows:

FAHS Feilding High School - Legislate That by Karla Crofts
Wellington Repertory Theatre - Two Women & a Chair by Michael Olsen directed by Liz Lipski
Pahiatua Repertory Society - The Donahue Sisters by Geraldine Aron
Aranui Theatre Company - Bottom's Tale by Shakespeare from A Midsummer’s

LJJ Theatre Company - Bent by Martin Sherman

Friday Night $18 per ticket

During Saturday afternoon there will also be three different Demonstration Lectures in the Horticultural Hall supper room.

1:30pm – They vocalise…. The Extended Voice with Bert van Dijk
2:30pm – They dance…. with Jennifer Shennan
3:30pm - They fight…. with Allan Henry

These lectures will be highly informative, exciting to watch and relevant to anyone interested in theatre and stagecraft.    Bert van Dijk will present a different perspective of using the voice on stage, Jennifer Shennan will demonstrate period movement and dance while Allan Henry will show how to effectively slap, hit, punch, fall and be thrown on stage.
